There was a village named Rampur. In this Rampur lived a man and his father; they belonged to a poor family. That’s why the man was doing the theft.
On a daily basis the man was doing theft. Then one day his father, always being diseased, said, “Son, please come and listen to me.”
Then his father said, “Listen, when you are doing that theft, remember 2 things: if somebody catches you for doing theft, then don’t tell him I do theft, and second, don’t go to the temple.” son replied ok dad.
One day he stole something, and then the king’s soldiers chased the thief, and then he went to spiritual preaching. As his father said, “Don’t go to the temple or don’t join spiritual gatherings,” but to protect himself from soldiers, he went to the temple. In the temple, he went to spiritual preaching. In the temple, the guru told him one thing: that God has no shadow.
After a lot of effort, the soldier caught the man, and then the soldier appeared to the thief in front of the king. The king said, “Hey man, tell me, are you a thief? Don’t lie. If you are lying, then I will punish you.
The man said, “No, king, I didn’t do the theft.” Then the king thought he wouldn’t be accepted like this. Then the king said, “Our soldier, put him in jail.” Then King said to the soldier, “Listen, like this, he never accepted that he was doing it.” Then I had an idea: we will appear as a goddess in front of her, and then, by seeing the disguised goddess, she can accept our mistake of seeing the goddess, and then we can punish her.
It happened just like that: a disguised goddess came in front of the thief, and then he greeted the goddess, who is a fake goddess. She said, “Now, son, tell me, are you doing theft?” Then suddenly he saw the goddess’s shadow, which had appeared.
Then he thinks, “I have remembered in the temple one guru said that God has no shadow.” Now he understands this fake goddess would be coming by the king—know my mistake.
He showed his cleverness and told the goddess, “Do you know? I am not a thief.” Then, by saying this thing, the king listened in back; he thought he was no thief. Then he decides to live it.
